In recent years, video games have played a big role in education. Innovations in Internet technology and smartphones continue to fuel the accessibility of gaming. For my project, my core idea was to make a game to motivate players with little to no background in computer science to learn foundational concepts in programming. Alternatively, it could help students who did not enjoy taking CS courses to regain their interest in programming. By using the Blockly coding language, this project intends to explore the use of an in-engine visual programming language for teaching programming.
