Image 120 of Theo Brown Diaries, 1949
Público DepositedFRIDAY APRIL 8 1949 Elise and I drove to St Louis leaving home at 1020 and reaching the Mackays at 440 238 miles. It was a beautiful day. Farmers in the firlds discing, a very few plowing All tractors except for 6 horses all told. As we neared St. Louis we saw some magnolia trees in bloom, also some forsythia bushes turning yellow and a few daffodils. The Vincent Palmers are here with their children. George took Elise & me on a ride around St Louis. WE saw the streamliners on the Missouri Pacific & Katy go by. We went to [Bevo?] Inn for dinner. It seems that George, Lucy & Vincent plan to go to Greece this summer to bring up Greek treasure from the bottom of the sea.
