Saturday, February 26, 1938 This noon Oscar Shogren was at the house for [Sjogren] lunch. Spent most of morning with him. In afternoon Elise and I bought a radio & phonograph combination just like Lee's R.C.A V101. It lists at $76.50 but we got it for $45.00 cash. It is being sent Verna and Evarts Jr. a wedding present. They said they would rather have that above anything else. At 4:30 went to the wedding of Julie Richardson and Passmore at Trinity Cathedral and later to the reception at their house.
