Wednesday, February 28, 1940 Letter from Lee enclosing copy of letter written to Bill Cade from President of University of Honolulu offering Bill a position at $2400 per year and for one year. This however does not include travelling expenses. Elise and I would dread having Lee go so far away but we can't stand in her way, hard as it is for us. This has been on my mind heavily all day. I will see Lee in Chicago tomorrow.
