MONDAY JULY 25 1949 [Ferry Ticket: Southern Pacific; Oakland Pier to SanFrancisco] We reached Oakland Ferry at 11 this morning. We were met, came over on ferry and brought to the Fairmont. We had lunch (17 of us) at Fisherman's Wharf Errands in afternoon. Vista Del Mar [Letterhead: Fairmont Hotel] [Letterhead: The Pacific Union Club] [[Insignia: Pacific Union Club] An elaborate dinner at ^ for Deere & Caterpillar Directors 22- Best, Cris Miller, Oscar Starr, Fair. & [Force?] Cater went ober to Mrs Butterworths party for 22 at the Fairmont.
