Sunday, April 24, 1938 Church in morning with Elise. Did many jobs such at putting up curtains in sleeping porch etc. In afternoon took Elise, Helen & Charlie Stone and Sam Plummer out to Red Sinclairs place 3 miles north of Joslin bridge on Rock River to see the blue bells and red buds. They were are their time last Wednesday, about 10 days ahead of average time. Helen painted while I tried colored photographs. Later the Stones took us to [Meekers ?] for supper and then we played bridge at their house.
