MONDAY NOV. 8 1948 Went to Chicago on the early Rocket. At a luncheon with Ned Dearborn, Rube Forney, O. Gressens & Maynard Coe. It was to work out a plan for a sponsor group to take over the financial backing of the Farm Conference of the National Safety Council. It was decided that we endeavor to get 6 or 7 men key men in Sears Roebuck Farm Equip, Meat packers, utilities etc who sell to the farmers to come to a luncheon and try to get them interested in getting other companies in their classifications to take over this financial job and select a chairman. It is hoped to have this luncheon soon. [Insert: stamps]
