SATURDAY Jan. 15, 1949 Elise and I house clean the play room. A letter from Amy written Thursday says "mother seems much better today, she has appeared much interested in things we have told her". Blackhawk Hikers banquet in evening 157 there. It was at the Golf Club. John Hauberg told about the beginnings of the club & Mrs Fryxell about their trip to Sweden. Then Harold Wenos produced a play that was excellent. The Col. Warners went with us. [Drawing: Christmas Cactus]
