MONDAY JAN. 31, 1949 Kate writes Jan. 29 "Mother continues to improve almost daily, thought Rosamond, who saw her this morning and was her vfirst visitor, thought she looked very, very thin. Well, of course she does but even so she looks far better than a fortnight ago. Last night she slept right through the whole night without getting up or even waking much to everyone's surprise, including her own. Amy left yesterday morning and, whilt I miss her very much, Evarts needs her now more than we do here.
