Sunday, March 29, 1931 Clear Billy was much excited and we were much pleased to see the notice in the Sunday Democrat. [Newspaper article: Friends of Art Awards] Billy sent 2 pictures one he did of me and shown by photo Feb. 28 the other one he did of Marcy Isles at Art School. Both done in charcoal. Billy had scarsely dared hope that either picture would be accepted for the exhibition. The Major Edgertons called in afternoon. and Charlie Stone came in for supper. Otherwise we were alone all day.
