Duffy told of forage harvester development and really told much about IHC. A.C. & MH that had best not have been said. Took Bob Trullinger to lunch. He painted a very blue picture of England's chances. In evening a large meeting of 40 on power take off standard position. Really got along pretty well, only real dispute on distance from Draw bar hole to end of power shaft. 9 7/8" had been set up tentatively but 6 companies want 12" and 4 9 7/8. Next meeting to be held Jan 17 ---. Am going to have Elmer McCormick tell Experimental men about this Saturday [Emblem: Universal Safety] [Passenger's check: Chicago to Moline] Safety meeting in afternoon. Decided to have safety movie also to adopt this new [cut?] [Headlines: Chicago Daily News; War news] written on train
