SATURDAY OCTOBER 26 1946 MOTHER'S 70TH Wedding ANNIVERSARY TODAY Deere & Mansur Works held open house this morning, so Elise and I had a very interesting trip thru the plant. It is a well run and progressive plant and clean too. Over 1200 went thru. there are 550 employees. In afternoon Elise & I went on the Blackhawk corn husking hike at Louis Haubergs farm. We went with Wilson Hunt. Both Elise & I were willing to stop picking long before the wagons (3) were full. A fine chicken supper at Rosehill Church. 65 present. A warm delightful day to be outside.
