Saturday, April 23, 1938 Put Awnings on this noon. 65 on special hike this afternon to see blue bells at Red Sinclairs 3 miles up Rock River fromJoslin'sbridge. It was a very beautiful sight. Never saw such a gorgeous mass of the heavenly blue color. Tried to get some colored pictures but the sun was not shining enough to be sure. These hikes are about the pleasantest events I have.
