Tuesday Jan. 20 1948 Myron Barton and I went out to the Experimental farm this mornng to go over the land adjoining to see if any is suitable for our purpose if the Sales Dept. takes the present farm. The land to the south seemed the best bet. To the east the Samuels plot of about 50 acres seems OK. The Rourke land to the west of 40 acres is fair perhaps 1/3 tillable. McGrain on the hard road west of Rourke is fair. Wilsons south of Rourke is good. If it can be purchased it should be possible to get 100 acres that are usable. Elise & I called on the Col Warners in evening and find them delightful.
