FRIDAY JUNE 10 1949 Guy Noble and Mrs Noble stopped here for lunch. The new tractor with cultivator was used all day. Proberly has cultivator over 65 acres these last two weeks. Lee Billl Elise and I at the Altgelts for dinner. The grandchildren with us. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bill writes Sunday "I got back from Belgium Saturday, staying att eh house of the Limbosh about whom May wrote the Bridge of Years - the garden is beautiful as you can imagine from the book. Saturday we drove to Verviers bia the small town where I stayed as a replacement, and we looked up the farm or who had been so kind to me and to whom we sent Dad's pen & pencil set. It was a most touching reunion, he had saved all the little sketches I had made thre, and remembered in detail all that we had said etc. His wife has sice died and his son had gotten married Vervier looked the same, quite prosperous and the [text covered] it very beautiful.
