FRIDAY, JULY 2, 1926 183 With W.L. Paul, Kirk Howard Dixon went to Cupertino to try out new disc plow. We we on a hilly ranch where we plowed up hill. The plow was not stable in turning around and in turning to the right it upset almost on every turn. We tried letting the rear wheel caster but the effect is about the same. It is necessary to steer the rear wheel to get stability! Also we need an in and out adjustment for front furrow wheel. The Morgan & Rimple plow has such an adjustment & is polular plow here. It is made in San José. There is not much disc plow business now.not over 100 of the 3 & 4 disc size but it may grow. I question the feasability of angling frame. We found the frame bolts half way in slot. Fear it is a rather blind adjustment. We should put steering rear end on & perhaps in & out adjustment for front furrow wheel & send it out. Elise went on board the West Virginia and we both were at the Alex Langes for supper.
