THURSDAY AUGUST 1949 33696 Elise and I started at 6 this morning and drove 524 miles to Wadham near Port Huron. A cool day which made the trip delightful. Found a cabin which was very comfortable. Saw some remarkable wood carvings done by the cabin owner's late husband. [Photographs: California trip?]
