THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 4 1947 Bill left for New York at 930 this morning going down with Louise Gregory in her automobile. He had a lot to take so it was fortunate he could go this way. Chandler Bullock & I drove over to see Mr & Mrs Harry N. Jeffries who live in Princeton near the Hubbardston line. Mr Jeffries found a cache of Indian arrow heads June 7th last 117 in all, some scrappers, sinkers etc. He has retired from business and has always found arrow heads where ever he was. The rest of the day we packed. Mother & Kate came up and we four had supper at the Bowling Alley. Kate & mother both seemed well. Miss Gregory phoned in evening that Louise had called saying she & Bill arrived in New York at 4 and that she enjoyed Bill's company very much Mrs Paul Preston said they liked Oliver.
