Public DepositedThursday, July 30, 1931 Clear/Rain This morning Elise & I walked thru the Fort built in 1820 at a cost of 37 millions. It was never used. There is a vast amount of granite stone work. Then we went thru the Pariliarment Building. We asked an old French "On est la Urseline Convent" and he said "No speak English". at the convent we saw the skull of Montcalm. We saw the King and Queen of Siam pass pass in automobile twice. also saw them very near to leave the hotel at 1 oclock. In afternoon Elise & I took the ferry going to Ile d'Orleans an island 21 miles long and 3 miles wide east of Quebec. Had dinner at a French restaurant. [Photograph: Le Chateau Frontenac- Anna ]
