THURSDAY SETP. 16 1948 A letter came from Hildegarde Sack saying she had received the two pacakges we sent this spring. I was pleased to day when Charley Stone and Charley Wiman both thought we would have to do something soon about making our tractor wheel tread quick adjustable. AllisChalmers have just brought out this feature. I have a patent 11 years old that covers this feature and which it is thought A-C may infringe. I made up a device and tried it out but could [can't read] the Tractor Co. Now that someone else has it we have to jump in and have it too. Its fortunate we have a patent to let us do it. My work has been to try to look ahead, but it is often discouraging in not having the ideas adopted. [Instert: stamps]
