Tuesday, April 7, 1931 Rain/Snow Amy and I called on the Davises, Mrs Allen & Rosamond Stone. Then with Phil we went to the hill and got Nellie and Aunt Hatie, taking them to the cemetery for the internment ceremony at 11 - It was raining I took Marjorie for lunch. Amy was at Ethels. Met Amy there, and we went up to say good bye to Aunt Hattie & Nellie. Then to the Searles. Amy came with me as far as Springfield. [Passenger's check: Worcester to Chicago, Ill.] Cermak defeated Thompson for mayor of Chicago by 200,000 today.
