Público DepositedTUESDAY MARCH 8 1949 Wrote Dr. C.H. Denker sayg we would sned Mrd Denker some coffee, sugar, shocolate and cocoa, in a few days. etc. Also wrote Arthur Finger and asked if he has received the 4 SAFE coupons sent him on Jan 28. Also wrote CARE to sent last two packages to Arthur Finger as Anneliese Lessin is no longer in Berlin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Amy writes March 6th "Last evening I returned from three days in Worcester, Kate having phoned at 6.30 Wednesday morning that mother had had a very bad night and she felt I should come on immediately. But again mother rallied and though she was better when I arrived and seemed very glad to se me yet she was coughing continually and eating pratically nothing.---------I don't see what keeps mother alive. All the nurses say she is the loveliest patient they every had and never before have they had one who never asks for a thing. Really I marvel at her more and more. It was 20 years ago yesterday that father died and I wished mother might have gone then, she is so ready to go. I found I came away exhausted altho I did not do a stroke of work. It is very hard to watch Mother cough all the time and suffer pain. I don't wonder Kate is tired. She says it makes it more normal to have me ther and it is right for me to share a little of what she is going through. In the future I rather plan to spend half of each week in Worcester and half at home if that works out".
