SATURDAY NOVEMBER 16 1946 In morning Lee Bill Pooh & Theo went to the Open House of the spreader works. 1700 there. It was very interesting. Elise and I went to the Outing Club at 1230. Elise, Lee and Oty arranged all the tables. There were 2 tables for serving the Buffett dinner. There were yellow table clothes and large cornucopias of fruit as center pieces. Elise & I went home at 3 and were back at 5-- [Drawing: Conucopia center piece] At 550 the first guests arrived There were 155 outside Elise & I. There wer 3 tables for cocktails & highballs. Many told us it was a wonderful party. It was all over at 945. Then Elise & I went tothe Wimans party. We were fortunate to have the Levin Campbells & Norman Ramseys and Dube Rowlands from out of town
