Rain WEDNESDAY APRIL 2 1947 In town this morning had a visit with Charley Morse and Alec Bullock. At Ephraims book store I found and bought a copy of Theo Brown's Letters also a sopy of Lincoln & History of Worcester. While waiting for a bus talked with an old man who said he was an historian Edward Francis 142 Woodland St. Coffin. I told him I wanted to find a sopy of Christopher Baldwins Diary, he said he had tow copies & I could have one of them. I asked him how much it wold be and he said one dollar, I told him about the sopy of the History of Worcester I bought for $2. He said he had several sopies and in better condition than mine and said he would take mine & send me one of his which he did. Insisted on giving him a dollar. Kate received a wonderful letter from Elise this morning. I left for Chicago on the 325 New England States. Kate mother Kitty & Ned seemed to appreciate my coming very much and I'm thankful I could be of help. [Newspaper article: Roger Green con't]
