c 31083 THURSDAY SEPT. 9 1948 Elise Bill and I had breakfast at 715 at Florence Gregory's and [Insert: Clipping from Onondaga Golf and Country Club] started at 740 for North Hampton. Here at 930 we left Bill to take a train for New Haven to see [Schrade ?] while Elise and I drove 284 miles to Syracuse where we spent the night with Mildred Todd She took us to [Onondaga Golf and Country Club] for dinner. Jo Butler coming too. Called Joe Lawton & Bob Tarbell on phone also Jess Choquill. Joe Lawton thinks hay choppers more important here than hay bailers.
