WEDNESDAY, MAY 19, 1926 139 All day with new tractor. 1st with cultivator. The power lift is fine it works perfectly and is essential. It is possible to drive to the end of the row lift the rigs by power turn round and come back in adjoining row without stopping There is too much weight on the front wheels with makes steering hard. Wt on front wheels 2200 lbs on rear wheels 2125 lbs Wt tractor above 2900 lbs We will have to try for lighter cultivator or try wheels on outside to take some of the weight; hinging frame in center. Thought of raising these sections at outer ends by power lift. Head, Wiman, McCray, Cade & I in field. As a plowing outfit with #40 plow it was splendid. Left for home at 445 P.M.
