186 MONDAY, JULY 5, 1926 Very hot on train. at stations along the way it was 104°. The valleys deserts & mountains were all terribly hot. Doubly so on account of the contrast with San Fransicso. We came thru Shasta Springs travelling 7 miles to make ¼ mile in a straight line. Had a magnificent view of Mt Shasta. Altogether a very uncomfortable day./~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~/ Tuesday continued Murphy thinks 1/3 - 1/2of their tractor plow business would be 16" but they would need it in 3 bottom size. Mixed cars. Wapatoof Yokima notload so as to unload right.
