WEDNESDAY, JULY 14 SUNDAY, JULY 18, 1926 199 Woke up this morning at Sicamores as we were entering the Selkirk mountains We found the open car put on the end of the train a great pleasure It was like riding in a touring car with the top down. Forest fires dimmed the view to a large extent. At Field I was given a 'Crustation". This is the impression of a fish on stone. These were found on a mountain top near by. The tunnels and figure 8's after leaving Field were very remarkable. We crosssed over our own track several times. Two tunnels being in the form of circles. We reached Lake Louise about 5. A 31/2 mile trip on gas car from station. The Chalet is a wonderful hotel, expensive. The forest fires were so near that a rain of "Ashes" white & filmy was falling. Room 252. Talked with Underwood at Calgary Will call him tomorrow. He will probably meet us here.
