FRIDAY JUNE 3 1949 In field this morning for the first time with new 2 bottom plow mounted on the new tractor. The plow worked very well indeed, the one critism being a lack of enough clearance when lifting, or in other words more lift needed. Saw Charley Wiman for the first time for a long time. He asked me up to the house for lunch. He was interested in playing the records of "Kiss Me Kate" and "South Pacific". He had a lot to say aobut my going to France in the fall with Elise. He said we should go before it is too late and took me to see Herman Schrader and asked him to circulars etc etc. [Photographs: man tractor plow in field]
