Monday, September 15, 1913 Decided to try an offset pole for 3 horses on the John Deere Spreader and if possible to make the stub tongue of steel. Chris Hornburg came to shop in afternoon and I arranged to go up to Minneapolis next Tuesday to go out and see some spreaaders and see what wear there was on the front axles. Most of the window frames on the first floor were set today. Arranged with Brissman to put in the driveway and do all the necessary grading etc for $750. Curbing to be 30¢ per foot extra. Also to do the grading around the house at a cost not to exceed $50- Bed 8.15
