Tuesday, April 16, 1940 Lee and I drove to Horicon this morning starting at 415 in morning. We reached the station in Horicon at 835 207 miles. Met Henry Dreyfuss and Herbert Barnhardt in Clauson's office. With the addition of Hyland and Miller spent morning in looking at implements and trying out transfers. The four of us left at 11:30 had lunch in Watertown. Bought there and stopped at Jone's in Fort Atkinson for bacon, sausage etc. We had dinner at [Baer's?] in Rapid City. Home at 7. The LeClaire was filled so we brought Henry Dreyfuss & Herb Barnhardt home with us to spend the night. The two Elises and I went to Kay Spelletech & Bill Getz wedding.
