Caption: Second Lietenant Casimir J. Matonis, a member of the class of '62 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, has been assigned to the United States Army Forces, Europe, with station in Germany, following his graduation from the Signal Officers' Basic Course, Fort Gordon, Georgia. An Electical Engineering graduate, Lieutenant Matonis was also active in several extra-curricular activities while at Tech. He was a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, the Newman Club, the Chess Club, and the Cosmopolitan Club. In his senior year at WPI Lt. Matonis served as commanding officer of Cadet Company B, with the rank of Cadet Captain. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Matonis, of 37 Columbia Street, Worcester.
