Public Deposited238 TUESDAY August 26 Clear The warmest day since we reached New England. But this would not be considered hot. Found split steel rim on car & had to arrange for that to be fixed. Harry & Eleanor Loomis left today. In afternoon May Breene, Elise, David Evarts & i took and interesting walk from the Dundy road along an abandoned logging road. Later Amy & I took Miss Eckert & her mother for a ride. We went to a "haunted" house between North Fryburg & Stow Maine The house has most interesting hinges latches etc. In evening played bridge with the Deweys of Minniapolis who have the Nichols house.
