WEDNESDAY Jan. 12, 1949 I slept all day with George and Lucy taking them over the plow shop. They both seemed to be facinated particularily Lucy. She is quite a wonderful person. She understands mechanical things better than any woman I've ever seen. Elise and I had a dinner party for them at the Town Club. Charley Wiman, Merion Hosford the Ardo Mitchells, Lee & Bill. Later they all came to our house where Lucy showed a reel of her colored undersea movies and drew some pictures of fish and told about the movies. Every one was thrilled.
