Saturday, January 18, 1941 Cloudy [Headlines: New York Herald; War news] Elise and I reached Worcester at 1115 this morning an hour and a half late and Kate met us. Mother was waiting for us at the farm. Kate, Elise and I went down town for lunch and I did several errands, such as a "swift" Scotch tape holder, Telephone Index etc. There is snow but it is wet and slushy. Telephoned Princeton but did not go out there today as there was much fog there. Marjorie and John Curtis came for dinner. We took some colored pictures interiors in evening. Fear they may not amount to much as we had no flood lights. Telegram from Charley Wiman Looking Forward Meeting you Harrisburg Wednesday Twenty Second. I arrive Early Wednesday morning and will come straight to John Deere Exhibit where I understand you will be. Contemplate Leaving Harrisburg for Washington early Wednesday Afternoon. [Headlines: Evening Gazette; Hitler, Duce Confer]
