Friday, February 6, 1931 Rain A welcome rain today Postals fromAmy from Ceylon, Egypt, and Naples. She and Evarts are travelling about as fast as their mail. Have built in experimental department aplow arranged to be lifted by power lift draw bar so that the frontendof plow is bodily lifted off the ground and the rear end of plow is carried by a rear plowwheel which through a rod connected to power lift of tractor raises the rear end of the plow. As the front end is raised 2 chains attached to arms fastened rearwardly from the draw bar, begin to take the weight of the plow ( as per idea of January 29th) and hold it stable. The rear plow wheel need not caster.
