192SUNDAY, JULY,11, 1926 We left Wauna at 7 this morning We crossed the ferry at Ranier to Longview. Here a remarkable city of 11000 has been built in 3 years by the Long Bell Co. They have spent millions We then went thru Keko, Toledo. Morton to the entrance of Ranier National Park. It was very hot which disapated the fog and as Harlan said the mountain was clearer than they had ever seen it We went up the Paradise Valley 5800 elevation. I have never seen anything more impressive than the view of Ranier with its many glaciers rising 14408 feet height is particularily impressive. We walked a mile up from Paradise Valley to in the glacier. We spent the night at National Park Inn. Long [mi ?] after 172 mile drive. The sceenery beggars desctiption.
