Rain in afternoon SATURDAY JUNE 7 1947 This afternoon late at Dorothy Ainsworths there was a supper and fair. Unfortunately the rain must have kept many away. The purpose was to raise money for Smith College. Lee has imported Phillipine luncheon cloths, and we decorated several things to be sold, such as mahjong table (which sold for 250) clocks etc. We thought we might sell some of the paintings from 2136 Brady, but there was no interest in them.
