TUESDAY JUNE 15 1948 Came to Chicago on the early Rocket but it was two hours late, so reached the National Safety Council after twelve. Lunch at 1230 for the Nominating Committee of which I am Chairman. Present; Banach, Corlette, Bill Brown, Wallace Falvey, Ned Dearborn & Rube Forney. Benson & Peppelier were absent. In a 31/2 hour session we nominated all the slate of officers & directors. An interesting meeting. We had to reduce the number of directors from 73 to 60.
