SUNDAY AUGUST 31 1947 Elise & I went to Nelli Curtis in morning. She gave us the cradle that uncle Ed got from Cromwell Conn. in which grandma Curtis was rocked We suggested she burn old papers of no value which she did while we were there. We had dinner with Kate and mother at the farm. Kitty and Mark were there for the weekend. We celebrated mother's 95th birthday which is Sept. 29. I took mother for a ride to Boylston & Shrewsbury by back roads. Mother gave me a piece of stone from the house of John Riley 1634 at Weathersfield Conn. Brown April 7 1919 Elise & I stopped to see Catherine Sigourney. Found Bill at home after he spent the night at the Lakes of the Clouds Hut with Ned and 2 of Neds friends. I went to see the Lawrence Chapmans in the evening.
