SATURDAY JUNE 18 1949 So hot and muggy Elise and I stayed home all day Letter from Bill written June 18th I have't received word yet from Madeline Rausch. Next Sunday I go to Chrartres for the day to see the Servais -; tomorrow is Mary Callery's birthday. We have a small party tonight for the occasion. Leger was here to dinner several nights ago. I started his school on the G.I. yesterday, I can work mostly herer at the studio and take my stuff over once in awhile for criticism, but there are always models there, so its handy too, the only thing is that its at the other end of Paris. Kaiky wants me to do his portrait, I've been making several drawings of him. Mrs Sardenburg, me dealer, came here the other day, she and her husband are on their way to Geneva where he conducts some concerts. She wants to take some of my drawings back to New York when she goes in August.
