Please accept many thanks for it. Unfortun- nately I must now give you the sad news that last Wednes- day my husband was convicted. He is condemned to be punished and put in prison for 3 years. This means they will take the factory away which will then belong to Saxony and will also become nationalized. Unfortunately I can not give you any clear picture, that Wolfran will have to give you by word of mouth, because he knows our situation so well. You can well imagine what my feelings are. That I will not have my husband home for 2 more years (one year is over, since he has already been in prison that long) is understandably difficult. My husband is controlling himself well and endures the imprisonment with inner strength. I am to express to you from him his heartfelt thanks for all that you have already done for us. You have saved the strength of all of us, and that is not exaggeration. The Caritas packages have up to know, happily reached us safely. If you have the opportunity to send me another and would do so I would be deeply grate- ful to you because from now on I can bring to my hus- band in prison various foods so the he again can par- tially regain his strength; but please understand me correctly, only do so if you are able. I am only writ- ing because in your last letter you asked me to write you about this, so now I am answering your questions very honestly and that is hard for me to do.
