[Stamps: Deutschepost] Dear Mr. Brown May 3 I would like to let you know today in a note that I have just received your lovely clothing pack- age. As always the joy over it was very great. We could use all the contents very nicely. The lovely soap was also very welcome. A thousand heart felt thanks for the gift, and the help you and your honored wife have given through the CARE packages have kept my children healthy I myself, this last winter suffered two severe attacks of the grippe which lasted a long time. If I had not had your packages full of calories I would not have gotten well so quickly. Today I am writing only a short letter because a man is waiting to take this letter to Berlin to post it there. I hope you have received the letter I sent you in March from Holland. The situation regarding my husband un- fortunately has not changed. He has been in prison seven months. the trial comes the end of June, I fear the worst.
