The rear wheel set 10" or more to rear of present wheel. The center wheel free to rise up & down. This allows the rake to work perfectly in going over the ditches used for irrigation. These ditches 28" centers and made by a 4"x6" [sketch:timbers] timber cross the fields in all directions. It is impossible to use a sweep of buck rake since the wheels fall in ditches. It is thought double wheels fore & aft on rummers might do the trick. As it is now a side delibery rake is useless. As it is hard to 'shock' the hay from side delivery rake that to make from regular dump rake. 2 swaths are raked and the sump from 1 swath laid on the one beside.
