MONDAY, JUNE 28, 1926 179 [Letter head: YOSEMITE LODGE] It is hot here but a swim in the fine pool this morning was very refreshing. I worked on picture book more or less in morning. In afternoon we walked to the foot of Yosemitefalls. The spray shot out over us from many hundred feetdistant. The vast heights 3000 and 4000 ft of sheer cliffs is almost unbelievable. We took our car to Mirror Lake and then Happy Isles & Vernal Falls coming back by way of Camp Curry The whole valley is full of people mostsly [Stamp: Yosemite uninteresting in looksNational Park] A fine dance orchestra - and good meals. We walked over to see the free fall.
