Friday JUNE 20 1947 Charley Wiman saw movies of the new tractor cultivating this morning In field in afternoon spending considerable time driving model B, our new tractor & 101 all cultivating. There is no question but what the 101 is outstanding as to visibility and ease of handling. It seemed to me if we used a hooded shield we could travel twice as fast because steer is so easy & visibilityso good and do as much work as a two row general purpose tractor. I though on the model B I seemed to be sitting rather far too away from the work and also parts of the cultivator came in the line of vision. To me you it seemed that our new tractor & cultivator were rather better as to handling etc. But we want the farmers to tell us which one they like best. It is hard to get many of our engineers interested in something different. It is reported our offer of $4,000,000 for the Ankeny Ordenance Plant has been accepted. Truman vetoed the Labor Bill and the House passed it over his veto by a vote of over 4 to 1.
