SUNDAY JANUARY 26 1947 Elise and I did not go to church. I got Pooh and we went to Davenport and brought Elise's mother over for dinner and later Elise and I took her for a call on Lillie Huber, but no one seemed to be at home. These Sundays are not easy for Elise's mother is filled with her own troubles and nothing seems to interest her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The photograph below was taken just 50 years ago in 1897 when I was on the Worcester High School Crew. I rowed #4 We rowed in 3 races. Harvard Freshmen (we lost). We won Intermediate Eights at National Regatta in Philadelphia, and also wond from the Wachusetts on Lake Quinsigamond. I kept a scrap book with all clippings from newspapers of all accounts fot he crew. I gave the book to the Worcester Historical Society this year. [Photograph: Theo Brown on rowing machine.]
