SUNDAY JUNE 8 1947 Elise and I went to church. It was Children's Sunday. We were alone for dinner. A Sunday School picnic in late afternoon at the Wilson Hunts. Lee and Pooh & Theo there, Elise & I were there a short time and later went to see the Stones. The Dain plant at Ottumwa is under 3 to 4 feet of water in the worst flood there in history. It is reported 96 passenger trains came through Moline because of floods. Santa Fe, Burlington, Milwaukee & Northwestern all came thru.
