TUESDAY DECEMBER 17 1946 The first cold wave of the season 120 this morning and 20 promised tomorrow. L.A. Murray said today he had decided to retire on a pension the first of next year. We have been together for 34 years and the association has always been a pleaasant one. I am sorry to have him leave but as he is 74 years old one cant say much against it.
