WEDNESDAY, December 25, 1940 * CHRISTMAS DAY * At 915 this morning we talked to mother Kate, Amy, Evarts and Kitty on the phone at Worcester. AT 1130 Elise Bill and I went to the Silloways for their annyal Egg Nog party two hundred or more there. Dinner for 14 at 2 at Outing Club as guests of Elise's mother, same as at our hous last evening. Then to 2136 BRady St. for tree and supper lasting till nearly 930 P.M. A long day ---- We tried to telephone Lee at Honolulu but could not get thru, there seemed to be so much delay on the end from San Francisco to Honolulu.
